Effective Date: 24 August 2026 · Version 2.0
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ReDrip online marketplace (the "platform"), including any related mobile application. By registering an account or otherwise using ReDrip, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Buyer Protection Policy, the Seller Protection Policy and the Community Guidelines, each of which forms part of this agreement.
ReDrip is an online marketplace that connects buyers and independent sellers of pre-owned goods in South Africa. These Terms set out the rights and obligations that apply when you use the platform.
These Terms are an agreement between you and ReDrip. ReDrip is a trading name. [FOUNDER INFORMATION REQUIRED] — the registered legal entity name, company registration number, registered or principal business address and other corporate details must be inserted here before these Terms are relied on.
"ReDrip" refers to the marketplace operating under that trading name. Where these Terms refer to "we", "us" or "our", they refer to ReDrip.
By creating an account or using ReDrip, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable South African law. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
You accept these Terms electronically, for example by ticking a consent box, completing registration or continuing to use the platform after being informed of changes. Electronic acceptance is valid and binding to the extent permitted by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act").
You may use ReDrip only if you are legally able to form a binding contract under South African law.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ReDrip independently. A user under 18 may only use the platform with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on that user's behalf.
By using ReDrip you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and to carry out the transactions you initiate on the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will communicate significant changes through the platform or by email before they take effect, with reasonable notice where required. Your continued use of ReDrip after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Changes do not alter the economics of transactions already completed.

ReDrip provides an online platform that connects buyers and independent sellers. ReDrip is not a retailer and does not ordinarily own the goods listed for sale on the platform.
When you buy an item, the contract for that item is generally between you (the buyer) and the seller who listed it, subject to the applicable platform processes described in these Terms.
Separately, ReDrip has a contractual relationship with each user concerning the marketplace services ReDrip provides, such as listing, payment processing, delivery facilitation, protection programmes and dispute handling.
Unless ReDrip expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific listing, ReDrip does not own, possess, inspect or warrant seller-listed products.
ReDrip does not guarantee that every user, listing, photograph, description or statement on the platform is accurate, genuine or reliable. We use reasonable moderation and safety measures, but we cannot guarantee that problematic content will never appear.
ReDrip may moderate the marketplace, including reviewing, removing, hiding or restricting listings, offers, messages, reviews or other content that breaches these Terms, the Community Guidelines or applicable law, subject to fair operation.
You must register an account to buy, sell, message or withdraw funds. You may be required to complete profile and identity steps before certain features become available.
You must provide truthful, accurate and current information when registering and using your account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Each account is intended for an individual user. You may not create or operate multiple accounts to evade restrictions, manipulate the platform or mislead other users.
ReDrip may require identity or other verification, including before allowing selling, withdrawals or other features, in order to protect users and the platform.
You may be required to verify your email address. Certain features may be limited until verification is complete.
ReDrip uses fraud-prevention and security measures. We may review, delay, restrict or decline activity that appears suspicious, fraudulent or unlawful.
We may suspend, restrict or close access to features or to the platform where we reasonably consider it necessary for safety, legal compliance or the protection of users.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, you should notify us promptly and take reasonable steps to secure your credentials.
We may suspend accounts or features while we investigate possible breaches or risks.
We may restrict specific features (for example selling, offers, withdrawals or messaging) without suspending the whole account, where reasonably appropriate.
We may terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, applicable policy or law. You may stop using ReDrip at any time.
Termination does not automatically cancel pending transactions. Pending orders, disputes, refunds, holds and balances continue to be handled according to these Terms and applicable law. Available wallet balances are handled through the normal withdrawal process.
Selling features may be available only after you have completed required profile, verification and consent steps.
Sellers must describe items accurately and honestly, including any flaws, wear or relevant limitations.
Sellers must provide clear, genuine photographs that fairly represent the item. Misleading or edited images are prohibited.
Sellers must state the condition of each item truthfully using the platform's condition categories.
Sellers must be the lawful owner of each item, or otherwise have the right to sell it, and must be legally able to transfer it to the buyer.
Sellers must sell only genuine items and must not list counterfeits, replicas or fakes.
Sellers must not list items that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Counterfeit or replica goods are strictly prohibited. Listings may be removed and accounts may be restricted or terminated.
Sellers must not list items that are illegal, unsafe, restricted or otherwise prohibited by ReDrip policy or applicable law. See the Community Guidelines and prohibited-items guidance.
Sellers must not list products whose sale or possession is unlawful, or that could cause harm if not handled lawfully.
ReDrip may moderate listings, including by reviewing, hiding, removing or restricting them.
ReDrip may remove listings that breach these Terms, policy or law. Removal does not by itself create an entitlement to a refund of any boost or promotional fee, subject to applicable law.
Sellers set their own listing prices. The price shown to a buyer is the price the seller receives, before the separately disclosed Buyer Protection fee and delivery fee.
Where offers are enabled, buyers may propose an amount below the asking price and sellers may accept, reject or counter. Accepted offers lead to checkout at the agreed price.
Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders they accept, including packing and shipping within the required timeframe and providing correct fulfilment information.
Listing on ReDrip is free. There is no listing fee.
ReDrip does not charge a selling commission. Sellers keep 100% of the stored listing price as their proceeds.
The seller's proceeds equal the full stored listing price. This describes how ReDrip calculates the seller's share. It does not mean a seller is immune from lawful reversals — such as approved refunds, dispute outcomes, chargebacks or other lawful obligations — which may adjust or reverse proceeds or balances as provided in these Terms.
Buyers must pay for items they commit to purchase, provide accurate delivery and contact information, inspect items on receipt and report eligible problems promptly.
Buyers should review the listing, description, photographs, condition and seller profile before purchasing.
The item price is set by the seller. The buyer pays the item price plus the separately disclosed Buyer Protection fee and delivery fee.
A Buyer Protection fee applies to each purchase. See Section F and the Buyer Protection Policy for the fee and what it covers.
Items are delivered via Standard Secure Delivery at a flat R99. See Section K (Delivery).
The checkout total is the item price plus the Buyer Protection fee plus the R99 Standard Secure Delivery fee, all shown before payment.
Payments are processed by Paystack. An order is treated as paid only after ReDrip has verified the payment on the backend. A browser confirmation or reference alone is not proof of verified payment.
An order confirmation indicates that an order has been initiated. It does not by itself establish that payment has been verified.
Buyers should communicate through the platform's messaging system and keep contact details current.
Buyers should inspect items on receipt. Eligible problems must be reported within the applicable window described in the Buyer Protection Policy.
Buyers may report eligible problems through the platform. See the Buyer Protection Policy and Section Q (Disputes).
The current ReDrip fee model (marketplace_fees_v2) is set out below.
ReDrip may change future fees after appropriate notice and subject to applicable law. Fee changes do not retroactively change the economics of transactions already completed.
Paystack processes applicable card payments. ReDrip does not store raw card numbers or CVV. Card data is handled by Paystack according to its own security standards.
An order or subscription is treated as paid only after ReDrip has successfully verified the payment. A browser confirmation screen or payment reference alone is not proof of verified payment.
A payment may be rejected, delayed or reviewed for fraud, security or other legitimate reasons.
ReDrip does not provide a licensed escrow service. Seller proceeds remain pending while the transaction is being completed and are released according to ReDrip's transaction completion process.
Seller proceeds may remain pending while the transaction is being completed. Pending funds are not withdrawable.
Funds become available only when the applicable completion and protection conditions are satisfied (for example, delivery confirmed or the protection window expires without a qualifying dispute).
ReDrip may place funds on hold during a qualifying dispute, refund, chargeback, fraud investigation or other authorised process described in these Terms.
Pending and available balances are internal marketplace accounting records representing seller payment entitlements. They are not held in a legal escrow account and are not a deposit product.
Your ReDrip wallet shows a Pending Balance and an Available Balance. Pending Balance reflects proceeds from in-progress transactions. Available Balance reflects proceeds ready to withdraw.
Wallet funds can currently be used only for withdrawals to your verified bank account. Wallet funds cannot currently be used to pay for marketplace purchases.
The wallet is not a bank account, is not a deposit product and does not earn interest. Wallet values represent internal marketplace accounting and seller payment entitlements.
The minimum withdrawal amount is R250.
Standard withdrawals are free (R0 fee).
Withdrawals are made only to a verified bank account held in your name. ReDrip may request information reasonably required to verify ownership or prevent fraud.
You may withdraw only from your Available Balance. Pending funds cannot be withdrawn.
Instant withdrawal is not available. All withdrawals are processed as standard withdrawals.
Withdrawals are currently processed manually to your verified bank account. ReDrip does not guarantee a specific bank clearing period.
Withdrawals may be reviewed or delayed for security, fraud-prevention or verification reasons.
Withdrawals may be restricted where there are pending disputes, holds, investigations or unmet requirements.
If a payout fails, ReDrip will reasonably endeavour to restore the relevant Available Balance so that you may retry, subject to verification and applicable law.
Items are delivered via Standard Secure Delivery at a flat R99 fee added at checkout.
Sellers must ship within 3 business days after verified payment. "Business days" currently excludes Saturday and Sunday. ReDrip does not automatically exclude South African public holidays unless and until that functionality is implemented.
Sellers must provide correct tracking and fulfilment information through the platform.
Buyers and sellers must cooperate with the delivery process, including providing accurate addresses and responding to reasonable courier requirements.
If a seller fails to ship within the required timeframe, ReDrip may cancel the order and process an eligible refund, and may record the non-fulfilment for trust purposes.
Tracking information is provided where available. ReDrip does not guarantee that tracking will be available for every leg of every delivery.
Buyers must provide accurate delivery information. Failed delivery due to inaccurate buyer information may result in additional delivery costs.
ReDrip facilitates delivery through courier providers. The courier's terms may also apply to the physical delivery. ReDrip is not a courier.
Lost or damaged parcels are handled through the platform's protection and dispute processes. ReDrip does not guarantee universal insurance unless it has expressly provided it for a specific delivery.
A buyer may request cancellation before the item has been shipped.
Unpaid orders may be cancelled without a refund transaction being required.
Paid, eligible, unshipped orders follow the authorised refund pathway described in these Terms.
Once shipment has occurred, simple cancellation is no longer available. The relevant Buyer Protection, return or dispute process applies instead.
ReDrip does not provide an unrestricted marketplace return right. Returns are handled under the Buyer Protection Policy and this section where an eligible problem is established.
The following are treated differently: buyer's change of mind; incorrect size where the listing accurately stated the size; an item materially not as described; a wrong item; counterfeit concerns; an item damaged; an item not received; and any rights that may apply under South African law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable South African law. Because the applicability of statutory return rights may vary depending on whether a seller is acting in the ordinary course of business and other circumstances, ReDrip does not state that every private peer-to-peer sale has identical statutory return rights.
Refund eligibility depends on the reason and fulfilment state. Possible qualifying scenarios include seller non-shipment, a listing already unavailable or already sold, an eligible pre-shipment cancellation, a buyer-favour dispute outcome, certain failed fulfilment situations, and chargeback or payment processes where applicable.
Approved refunds may include some or all of the item price, Buyer Protection fee and delivery fee, depending on the circumstances and whether delivery services have already been booked or incurred.
The Buyer Protection fee is not universally non-refundable. It may be included in qualifying refunds according to ReDrip policy and the circumstances.
Once ReDrip has successfully submitted an approved refund, the time taken for the funds to appear may depend on Paystack, your bank or payment provider. ReDrip does not guarantee a specific refund arrival time unless supported by a verified status.
The full Buyer Protection Policy is set out in the Buyer Protection page. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Buyer Protection covers eligible protection scenarios. It is not insurance and does not cover off-platform transactions, buyer's remorse, accurately disclosed wear, or incorrect size where the listing accurately stated the size, except where law requires otherwise.
Eligible issues must be reported within the applicable window. ReDrip may request evidence, investigate and decide the platform outcome based on available evidence and applicable policy.
The full Seller Protection Policy is set out in the Seller Protection page. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Seller Protection depends on accurate listings, proof of fulfilment and cooperation with disputes and courier processes. Seller proceeds may be held during eligible disputes. Non-shipment and other breaches may result in holds, reversals or account restrictions.
A buyer may report an eligible issue through ReDrip within the applicable window.
ReDrip aims to begin reviewing properly submitted disputes within 2 business days. Complex cases may take longer. ReDrip does not guarantee completion within 2 business days.
ReDrip may request evidence from both parties.
ReDrip may temporarily hold seller proceeds while reviewing an eligible dispute.
ReDrip may decide the platform outcome based on available evidence and applicable policy. The internal dispute process does not remove external rights available under applicable law.
Payment chargebacks may be handled through the payment provider or bank. Users must not abuse chargeback procedures.
ReDrip may place funds or accounts under review where a chargeback affects a marketplace transaction. Seller proceeds may be reversed where lawfully required.
Duplicate recovery is prohibited. A user may not keep both a platform refund and a chargeback reversal for the same amount.
These Terms do not attempt to prevent lawful consumer chargeback rights.
Users must not attempt to deliberately avoid ReDrip protections or fees by moving an active marketplace transaction outside ReDrip.
ReDrip Buyer Protection does not apply to payments made outside approved ReDrip payment channels.
This section does not prevent ordinary user communication that is not intended to bypass platform protections.
ReDrip Plus costs R99 per month. New recurring subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Paystack handles recurring billing. Automatic renewal is disclosed before purchase.
The subscriber may cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents future renewal. Already paid access continues until the end of the current paid period (current_period_end). Cancellation does not automatically create a partial-period refund, subject always to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
A failed renewal does not create another paid subscription period. Current Plus access may continue until the existing paid period expires.
Existing historical manual subscribers are not automatically converted to recurring billing without their authorisation. No automatic renewal is claimed for manual_v1 records.
Price changes are communicated appropriately before they affect future billing. ReDrip does not offer annual billing.
Users must not engage in fraud, scams, misrepresentation, selling counterfeit goods, harassment, abusive communication, payment manipulation, false disputes, false claims, multiple-account abuse, attempted financial bypass, malicious technical interference, unauthorised access, illegal items or rights infringement. The Community Guidelines elaborate conduct expectations and are incorporated by reference.
ReDrip owns its platform content, including logos, software, design and original text, to the extent owned by ReDrip.
Users own their original content. ReDrip does not demand ownership of user content.
By posting content (such as listings, photographs and messages), users grant ReDrip a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and promote that content on the platform as reasonably required to operate the marketplace.
Users may report rights infringement through the platform's reporting tools.
Paystack processes payments. Courier and fulfilment providers handle physical delivery. Hosting and infrastructure providers support the platform. These third parties may have their own terms and processing.
ReDrip is not responsible for third-party services beyond what applicable law permits. These Terms do not disclaim responsibility beyond what applicable law allows.
ReDrip may experience outages, maintenance or third-party failures, and may change or discontinue features. Existing financial rights and obligations continue to be handled appropriately.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ReDrip's liability in connection with the platform is subject to the limitations in this section. ReDrip is not liable for indirect or consequential damages beyond what South African law allows. This section does not exclude liability where exclusion would be unlawful, and does not claim that ReDrip can never be liable for security failures where legislation may impose obligations. Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you indemnify ReDrip against liabilities arising from your unlawful conduct, rights infringement, fraud, misrepresentation or breach of your obligations under these Terms. This indemnity is subject to applicable law and does not impose excessive consumer indemnification.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable South African law, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") where it applies. ReDrip does not state that every user is automatically a consumer or a supplier for every statutory purpose, and the applicability of the CPA may vary depending on the circumstances of a particular sale.
Users transact electronically. Electronic acceptance can create binding agreements to the extent permitted by the ECT Act.
Notices may be delivered electronically where legally permitted. Users should keep contact details current.
ReDrip's handling of personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms are governed by South African law.
Subject to any non-excludable statutory rights, disputes are submitted to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless ReDrip agrees otherwise in writing.
If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
No failure or delay in enforcing a right is a waiver of that right.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without ReDrip's consent. ReDrip may assign its rights to a successor.
These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference, form the entire agreement between you and ReDrip concerning the platform.
ReDrip, buyers and sellers are independent. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
Except for Paystack and courier providers to the extent relevant to their services, these Terms do not intend to create enforceable third-party rights unless stated.
These Terms are the primary contractual agreement. The Privacy Policy, Buyer Protection Policy, Seller Protection Policy and Community Guidelines are incorporated by reference. The Help Centre provides user guidance only and is not a legal contract. Where Help Centre content conflicts with these Terms or a formal policy, the formal Terms or policy controls, subject to applicable law.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue in effect after termination.
Legal notices to ReDrip may be sent to legal@redrip.co.za. Users should keep email and account details current to receive notices.
