ReDrip Community Standards

ReDrip is a trust-first South African resale marketplace. These guidelines exist to protect every buyer, seller, and the integrity of the marketplace. By using ReDrip, you agree to these standards.

Effective: 18 May 2026

1. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on ReDrip:

Counterfeit & replica goods — fake, unauthorised, or non-authentic items claiming to be genuine brands
Stolen property — items obtained without proper ownership or items with blocked IMEIs
Firearms & weapons — guns, ammunition, blades, and related accessories
Illegal substances — drugs, controlled substances, and unprescribed medications
Fraudulent items — items misrepresented to deceive buyers
Dangerous products — recalled, banned, or hazardous goods
Adult/explicit content — NSFW or inappropriate material
Hate materials — items promoting discrimination, extremism, or hate
Illegal digital products — pirated software, cracked accounts, fake gift cards

Violation: immediate listing removal, account strike, and possible suspension.

2. Counterfeit & Authenticity Policy

ReDrip takes brand protection seriously. Sellers must:

Only sell items they genuinely own and can authenticate
Never use terms like "replica", "AAA quality", "mirror copy", "inspired by", or "dupe"
Provide accurate brand, model, and condition information
Not price luxury or high-demand items at implausibly low prices

High-demand brands (luxury fashion, sneakers, electronics) are subject to enhanced moderation.

3. Messaging Conduct Policy

All conversations on ReDrip must remain respectful and on-platform.

Prohibited in messages:

Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
Threats, intimidation, or violent language
Harassment or bullying
Requests for off-platform payment ("pay me directly", "bank transfer only")
Sharing personal contact information (phone numbers, emails, social handles)
Phishing, impersonation, or scam attempts
Spam or mass unsolicited messages

⚠️ Never pay outside ReDrip

All payments must go through ReDrip's secure Paystack checkout for Buyer Protection to apply.

4. Account & Seller Conduct

One account per person — multi-accounting is prohibited
Do not manipulate reviews, ratings, or trust scores
Ship items within the confirmed timeframe
Accurately describe item condition, size, and authenticity
Do not cancel orders without valid reason
Do not coordinate off-platform to avoid fees

5. Payment Safety

All payments must be made through ReDrip's official Paystack checkout
Never agree to bank transfers, cash, crypto, or off-app payments
Payment protection only applies to on-platform transactions
Buyer Protection is void for transactions outside ReDrip
If someone requests off-platform payment, report them immediately

6. Privacy & POPIA Compliance

ReDrip operates in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

Do not share other users' personal information publicly
Do not collect, store, or misuse personal data obtained via the platform
All user data is processed for the purpose of facilitating transactions
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data

Enforcement & Consequences

1st violationFormal warning and education notice

2nd violationFeature restrictions (listing/messaging limits)

3rd violationTemporary suspension (7–30 days)

Severe violationPermanent account ban and legal referral

Appeals can be submitted to support@redrip.co.za within 30 days of enforcement action.
